I often get asked how I learned photography, whether I went to school for it or whether I’m self-taught. And while I usually answer “self-taught,” the truth is I didn’t teach myself nearly as much as I learned from other amazing photographers who have been willing to share their journey.
Two of the most inspiring people I’ve had the privilege of learning from are Amy and Jordan Demos, who not only spent two and a half days pouring knowledge (and Sugar Shack donuts) into workshop attendees, but also camped out at our hotel until midnight on the last day of the workshop to answer every. single. question. we could think of to ask them — seriously, who does that??
You can read details of my workshop experience here, but today, I’m so excited to be able to finally share my photos from our amazing workshop and styled shoot at Richmond’s one-and-only Paisley and Jade.
Amanda Veronee, florals and design. (Still swooning over these. No one can ever have enough pink flowers at a wedding, or anytime, really.)
Tiffany’s Bridal, gown. (I’ll take one too, please. I love the swooshing sound it makes. I can almost still hear it every time I look at these photos!)
Posh PR, glassware & acrylic chairs. (Adorable.)
Glamour by GiGi, makeup. (Perfection.)
Sorby Sweets, cake. (That pastel map, though! An ode to travel + cake = my kind of treat!)
Annamarie and Ryan Akins, models. (Sweetest real-life married couple models ever, in the history of the world.)
